At Variantz, we are committed to conducting business with integrity, transparency, and respect for human rights, labor standards, and the environment. We expect our suppliers to share these values and uphold the highest ethical standards in all their operations. This Supplier Code of Conduct outlines the principles and practices that all suppliers must adhere to when working with Variantz.
1. Compliance with Laws and Regulations
Suppliers must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards in the countries where they operate, including but not limited to:

Labor Laws : Fair wages, safe working conditions, and protection of workers’ rights.

Environmental Laws : Sustainable practices and waste management.

Anti-Corruption Laws : Prohibition of bribery, kickbacks, or improper payments.
Failure to comply with these laws may result in termination of the supplier relationship.
2. Human Rights and Labor Standards
Suppliers must respect and uphold human rights and labor standards, including:

Suppliers must not engage in or support forced labor, child labor, or any form of modern slavery.

Workers must be employed voluntarily and have the freedom to leave employment after reasonable notice.
2.2 Safe and Healthy Working Conditions

Proper safety equipment, training, and emergency procedures must be in place.
2.3 Fair Wages and Benefits

Suppliers must pay workers fair wages that meet or exceed legal minimums or industry standards.

Overtime must be voluntary, compensated appropriately, and not excessive.
2.4 Freedom of Association

Suppliers must respect workers’ rights to freedom of association, collective bargaining, and non-discrimination.

No retaliation against workers who exercise these rights.
3. Environmental Responsibility
Suppliers must minimize their environmental impact and adopt sustainable practices, including:

Reducing energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, and waste generation.

Using environmentally friendly materials and processes where possible.

Complying with all environmental laws and regulations, including proper disposal of hazardous materials.

4. Ethical Business Practices
Suppliers must conduct their business ethically and transparently, including:

Suppliers must not offer, accept, or solicit bribes, kickbacks, or improper payments to secure business or gain an unfair advantage.

Modest, occasional gifts may be acceptable only if they align with local customs and do not compromise integrity.
4.2 Transparency and Accountability

Suppliers must maintain accurate records of transactions, labor practices, and environmental impact.

Misrepresentation of facts or falsification of records is strictly prohibited.
4.3 Conflict of Interest

Suppliers must avoid situations where personal interests conflict with their obligations to Variantz.
5. Product Quality and Safety
Suppliers must ensure that all products and services provided to Variantz meet the following standards:

Quality Assurance: Products must meet Variantz’s specifications and quality requirements.

Safety Compliance: Products must comply with all applicable safety standards and certifications (e.g., electrical safety, fire safety).

Traceability: Suppliers must maintain traceability of materials and components to ensure accountability.
6. Data Privacy and Security
Suppliers must protect any data shared by Variantz, including customer information, intellectual property, and trade secrets. This includes:

Implementing robust data security measures to prevent unauthorized access or breaches.

Complying with applicable data protection laws, such as Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
7. Monitoring and Compliance
Variantz reserves the right to monitor and audit suppliers’ compliance with this Code of Conduct. This may include:

Review of documentation and records.

Interviews with workers and management.
Suppliers must cooperate fully with any audits and promptly address any identified issues.
8. Consequences of Non-Compliance
Failure to comply with this Supplier Code of Conduct may result in:

Reporting to relevant authorities, if required by law.
9. Reporting Concerns
Suppliers are encouraged to report any concerns about unethical behavior, misconduct, or violations of this Code of Conduct. Reports can be made confidentially via:

All reports will be investigated thoroughly and confidentially. Retaliation against individuals who report concerns in good faith is strictly prohibited.
10. Acknowledgment
By partnering with Variantz, suppliers agree to adhere to this Supplier Code of Conduct. Suppliers must ensure that their subcontractors and third-party partners also comply with these standards.
